Join Sinfonia, Ian Hobson, the UIUC Summer Piano Institute faculty and attendees, and the Krannert Center for this can't miss event! On Saturday, July 21 at 4:00 P.M. the winners of the 2018 SPI Concerto Competition will perform in Foellinger Great Hall with Sinfonia da Camera. (Winners TBA) The faculty showcase will begin at 7:30 P.M. and will feature Jong Hwa Park and Amy Gilreath, piano and trumpet respectively, performing Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 1 with Sinfonia. Victor Rosenbaum will perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 22 with Sinfonia. And the concert will end with maestro Ian Hobson conducting Sinfonia in Weber's Konzertstück, Op. 79 from the keyboard.
