OuR COVID-19 Safety Guidelines (UPDATED)

Sinfonia da Camera is committed to adhering to the guidelines that have been mandated by the State of Illinois, the University of Illinois, the School of Music, and the Krannert Center. 

 

Since Sinfonia da Camera is part of the University of Illinois, the vaccination mandate applies to all UIUC students, staff, faculty, and visitors. 

UPDATE: Starting on Jan. 1, 2022, and until further notice, all attendees of Sinfonia da Camera events will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test (result must be taken within 72 hours prior to the performance start time) or COVID-19 vaccination record to enter the event space.

We are Following the University of Illinois Mitigation strategies

Sinfonia da Camera will be following the University of Illinois COVID-19 mitigation strategies stated below:  
COVID-19 mitigation strategies

  • Required COVID-19 vaccines for all faculty, staff, and students who are able to do so  

  • Required face coverings in all university facilities regardless of vaccination status  

  • Ability to enforce testing requirements through daily monitoring of testing logs and through building access status in the Safer Illinois app and the Boarding Pass

Audience Requirements

We are taking this action now to maximize safety while continuing to deliver in-person experiences.

Day of Event instructions for guests Attending Concerts at the Smith Memorial Hall

  • Upon arrival, all guests must check in with Sinfonia da Camera’s Executive Manager at the registration table. Once you enter the building from the main entrance, the check-in table will be located in the Lobby area. At this time, one of the staff members from Sinfonia da Camera will be checking your vaccination record or proof of a negative COVID-19 test result.

    • In order to attend the performance, every audience member must bring proof of one of these three things and a photo ID. (Audience members over age 18 must show photo ID. People ages 18 and under will not be required to show a photo ID if accompanied by an adult.)

    1. Full vaccination card
      - ​Proof of vaccination status should be in the form of a paper vaccination card or a digital image of the vaccination card (with a valid ID). We will also accept the Illinois App, the Safer Communities app, and the State Of Illinois SMART Health Card. No other digital passes or records will be accepted.

    2. Negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event start time  

    3. Negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the event start time
      - Home tests do not qualify. (For our local audiences, visit Champaign-Urbana Public Health District's COVID-19 testing information website. For those who live outside of the Champaign-Urbana area, please check with your local public health department for testing options.)
      Children under two years of age cannot be admitted.

  • A face mask is required at this point, and Sinfonia will provide masks at the event if any guests forget or misplace their own. (Please note that face mask is required in all indoor university spaces, regardless of vaccination status)

    • The face mask must cover the nose and mouth.  

  • Upon arrival and departure, please practice social distancing and provide a minimum of 6-ft distance between you and other guests. 

Important COVID-Related Guidelines and Information

In order to comply with both the State of Illinois and the University of Illinois safety guidelines, please note the following:   

  1. Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available throughout the venue.  

  2. All guests agree to attend the event only if confident of their own good health with no prior COVID symptoms (click here to read COVID-related signs).  Although not a requirement, all attendees are strongly encouraged to get fully vaccinated or COVID tested no more than 4 days prior to the event.  

  3. If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms, we kindly ask you not to attend the event to ensure everyone’s safety.   

  4. We ask all attendees to abide by all health and safety protocols as dictated by State and Local officials, as well as the University of Illinois, the School of Music, and the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.
